BG has conducted environment studies for a range of development projects amongst which to refer EIA Envalor bio ethanol and energy project in Sena, Caia district; EIA dredging of access channel to Maputo Port, Maputo Port development Company; scoping studies for Odfjell Terminals EMEA B.V. tank terminal at Matola harbour), scoping and EIA (agriclimate, forestry, wild life, socio-economy) studies for Grown Energy Zambeze a 15,000 ha sugar cane and sweet sorghum 100 million-L bio ethanol production in Chemba, Mozambique; environment and social fatal flaw analysis (forestry, socio-economy and wildlife) for Envalor Lda 150 million-L bio ethanol project in Dombe, Mozambique; scoping and EIA for Deep Water Produce Lda 5000 t fish culture project in Songo, Mozambique.
Agriculture and Rural Development
BG services provided to agriculture and land based farming projects include formulation of land and investment application and facilitation of legal process for 15,000 ha bio ethanol GEZ project in Chemba, Mozambique; formulation of project document, land surveying and facilitation of process for 5000 ha land application for maize and soya DWP project in Moatize, Mozambique; Land surveying, assistance on project formulation and facilitation of 5000 ha land application for Bufalo Moçambique Lda wild buffalo farming project in Chicualacuala, Mozambique, EMVEST 1000 ha agriculture development and land application in Palmeira, Maputo province; BAOBAB grain and cash crop farming macro surveying, Nacala corridor; GSM land surveying for soy bean and Tilapia farming in Gurué.
Fisheries
The directors of BG have a strong background in fisheries and marine biology and have recently provide services on project formulation and socio-economic baseline and marketing assessments for Boa Hora Lda. aquarium fish by-catch value-adding from small-scale beach seining at inhaca island, Mozambique; project final evaluation and socio-economic impact assessment for Kulima ONG seaweed culture project in Nacala, Mozambique; workshop steering and formulation of documentation for Centre for Promotion of Investments (CPI) promotion of business opportunities within the fisheries sector of Mozambique in Cape Town, South Africa.
Aquaculture
BG has also a qualified experience in aquaculture research and development and recently has assisted on project formulation, environment site surveying and facilitation of project approval and licensing for Stellenbosh University finfish project in Nacala; AquaPemba (HIK) finfish farming project in Pemba Bay; DWP tilapia cage farming in Cahora Bassa lake, Mozambique; Kulima pilot seaweed project in Nacala, Mozambique.
